CRX si 90-91 4 wheel disc - front rotors larger?
Easy question. Are the front rotors on the 90-91 crx si the same size as other EF's? (9.5'').
I had a 90 crx si that stopped good and my new(tome) 91 civic si doesn't stop good. I know the drums aren't the issue.

The rotors are the same 9.5" pieces that came on DX/Si models, however the '90-91 CRX Si had unique front calipers that had a larger piston and took a different pad than the other cars with 9.5" front rotors.

There are many, many factors that can affect a vehicle's braking performance. What does "stopping good" mean to you? Can you elaborate?

the pedal is stiff and requires excessive effort to stop. Pretty much can't lock brakes above 10-15mph even if i stand on the pedal. It's kinda scarry to drive, if someone were to step out in front of my car in a parking lot i would hit them.
First guess would be booster but it's not. replaced it and the hoses/check valve. I know it's working cause the pedal sinks when you start the engine.
Replaced pads and rotors and MC for ***** and giggles. Bled the system. checked for leaks. I think maybe one of the hoses is restricted, i will replace with stainless lines.
I just wanted to make sure EFs have decent brakes before I replace with OEM stuff when I could be upgrading to larger brakes. I've heard ef brakes suck but my crx felt normal.
