very slow windows
hey guys i got real slow automatic windows i think its because of the window regulator?? i tried to get in the door and check it out but there is no space. how do i get to mess around with the reglator?
Year, Model, Trim ect would mabey help .. i dont know about in this case,
b.c slow windows are very very common in Accords.. its just how they are..
There are tons of tips for it, I belive u can try cleaning the tracks, b.c alot of crap gets in there, and stuff like that, some will say dont use any kind of lub, b.c that just traps dirt *shrugs* honestly my windows have been slow sense day one, i would rather have manual windows but o well..
Im sure others can be more helpful, but just remember slow windows in a ACCORD is very common

This can be caused by two things.
Dirt in the window guide channels (causing drag)
Excessive space between channels, allowing the glass to "Tilt (I was going to use the 'C' word, but thought better of it)" in the guides and bind the window
or any combination of the two.

If it's drag... try to clean out the channels with q-tips and I suppose just soap and water. Let it dry, then put in Shin-Etzu grease liberally, also using a q-tip to get it into the crack.
Shin-Etzu grease is an industrial strength silicone grease ("for industrial use only") available from your Honda dealer, something like $15 for a 100 gram tube (roughly the size of a tube of toothpaste). Part # 08798-9013 This is way more than you'll need for the job, but I don't think they have smaller tubes. More information than you wanted to know, but Shin-Etzu is the name of the chemical company that makes (in Tokyo, Japan).
Edit: Back to the original question, is this all four windows going up and down at a low speed, or just the window/s you use most often (most likely the driver's window) going slow? If all four are acting up the same, it wouldn't be drag and must be something else.

spray some wd40 down the tracks if it speeds it up it is a cleaning issue,,,,,,,,you need to clean the tracks and apply some Shin-Etzu grease like HEAT suggested.......if using wd40 does not spped it up,, u need to inspect the windpw channels for possible tear , chk window tracks, window adjustment

3rd vote for Shin-etzu. Bought it for the weatherstripping on the S but it did a bang-up job speeding up my front passenger window on the Accord, after a couple of applications. Regular use keeps it running smooth.

welcome to the family of slow window owners! (accord owners.... but... just the windows are slow aight' ?)
I always spray some WD-40 on the rubbers to help the windows go up and down faster and easily... ...but the best is actually cleaning the channels....
