Default 92-95 Si Intake Manifold

I was wondering what an si intake manifold would do for my honda civic CX engine? If I could swap it in on my engine would it make a difference in horsepower? If I were to swap that intake manifold in woudl i also have to swap in the si throttle body as well? I am sorry for all the questions just want to understand what changing the intake manifold would do....
Thanx

Well actually its not worth it on a cx. Not too much power to uleash in that big ole 1.5 8v. Just save your money for a dohc swap or even sohc vtec swap.

I hate to say it, but any performance-minded mods on the CX motor are not worth it.

Sorry.

That motor was never intended to be powerful, and for the time and money and effort you'd put into the intake manifold swap the gains would suck.

Try to find a good SOHC VTEC or even a SOHC DX swap for cheap. This would be a leap beyond your 70hp 8-valve CX motor.

Real quick:

1992-1995:

CX: 70hp 8 valve, shitty tranny
VX: 92hp 16 valve VTEC-E, shitty tranny
DX/LX: 102hp 16 valve, better tranny
Si/EX: 125hp 16 valve VTEC and best possible tranny

1998 CX:

106hp 16 valve non-VTEC motor.

More promising than the 70hp 8 valve, but still not worth money spent on mods IMO.
