Default Cluster problem...need help

So i swapped my blue interior for black. my car is a 88 and the other was a 91 or 90 i think. I tried using the new dash with its dash harness and it made it so my cluster didn't work...just the mph gauge.

So i swapped the harness from my old dash to the new one and now the new cluster that goes in tweaks out. If i turn my lights on the fuel gauge goes down and temp goes up and my brake light doesn't go out. i still have both harnesses... can someone tell me what to do?

Reiwre the harnesses. The plugs may fit, but, the wiring in them is swapped.

Search for the BIG thread with the gsr cluster swap. It's only a couple pages back. It gives all the cluster wiring diagrams for the 88-89 and 90-91....
