Out the thieves
The logistics of what you're proposing (although Admirable and I'd be all for it) would be staggering in the Northeast. Up here, Auto Theft is almost considered a cottage industry!!!
Unless you're going to equip every car with a Computer equipped with face Recognition Software; what do you propose?
Have every motorist issued a 400 page (Regional) book of Mug Shots?
Publish them here? You'd shortly have the server for Honda-Tech run out of allocated space.
You think a car thief is going to peruse the threads of Honda-Tech? Not likely. He's more likely over reading up in the "Export Cars Fast Forum"!!
Nice idea, very hard to implement

Thanks for your thoughts. I was just proposing what I proposed: Outing the bastards. If they feel they have a right to take our cars, then we have the right to post their names for all to see. That's all.
I'm sure the four Plaza Boys aren't too happy about having their mugs and names posted up.

Total Agreement, but unless done on a dedicated web site (law enforcement, etc) universally accessible, it's size will very quickly become untenable. For the shear amount of dynamic information added and undated daily, you'd need at least 6 people just doing data entry.
