Default Replacing Valve cover gasket and spark plug seals..

i got some oil on my spark plugs, so im gonna replace the seals, ( the valve cover gasket isnt leaking though)

do i need to take off the timing belt cover to take off the valve cover?

last time i unbolted the 2 nuts, the ground, and the spark plug wires and the cover wouldnt come off

should i try lifting it with a screw driver

in the left side of the diagram below #14 hold the valve cover down and there are four of them. In the right side of the diagram #12 holds the valve cover down and there are five of them.

The valve cover may be a little stuck after removing the nuts/bolts, just gently pry it up with a screw driver.

Also, you should note which year/trim level you have and also list the motor if it has been swapped.

F22B2 Left illustration, Four (4) nuts w/washers hold it down; Spark Plugs in the rear. It's not required to take the belt cover off.

I believe your motor is a F22A1

You valve cover should look like the diagram below.

As you can see part #8 is the nut that holds the vavle cover on. There are two on the top front and two on the top back (between the spark plug tubes).
