Default 06 Civic EX XM ready? What does this really mean?

Our 06 Civic EX (non Nav version) has the XM/AUX button and from reading the EX features, it looks like she's XM ready.. but what does this really mean? Can i get a regular XM Receiver and somehow connect that to the Radio Receiver? And if i can where would the connection be in the trunk somewhere?

Or is this a dealer install thing altogether?

TIA!

you will need the 5th item down on that page. All xm ready means is the unit can be used to control an xm tuner. Think of it as how tv's said cable ready in the 80's and 90's it doesnt mean anything will work it just means you need to buy more stuff. but @ 400 i would say buy an alpine cda-9847 and an sir-alp1. you should be able to get both of those for 400 installed with tax.
