Default Manual window crank removal

How do you remove the window crank from the manual window doorsills? Was about to take a flathead screwdriver to it, but thought twice ...

there is a little metal clip that hides behind the window crank that pins it to the regulator. what u do is get a little pick and pull it right out and off comes the handle

yep, that will do the trick.

just look under the crank, there's a small rectangular shaped opening just enough to insert the flat tip of the screw driver. slowly pry that U-shaped clip that locks the crank/handle from the shaft.

see the pic. sorry for my poor illustration

You can also remove the clip with a grease rag..
Drag it through and catch one end of the clip..

To re-install,position the clip as shown in the second picture,
Hold the handle in the postion you want it and give it a slight smack
and it will pop right on..

I was just about to suggest this! Works like a charm.
