Default ENGINE IDLES AT 500rpm

I replaced the battery today, spark plug wires, oil change were done recently as well.

it feels liek as if the car isnt getting any power or tq at all when driving.

THe RPMs take very long and are very hard to keep high, when starting in first it takes about 8seconds for the rpm to reach about 3k and when it reaches 3k it sounds normal but still has no torque at all. I had to ride the clutch to keep the RPMS high because as soon as i let go of the gas the needle dropped hard to about 1k.

when in neutral i had to keep playing with the gas because the needle would be jumping around at about 500-700rpm. It often shut off my car completely.

Is this a fuel injeciton problem? or something bigger?

anyone have this experience?

i checked the throttle cable...it seemed ok.

the short ram intake pipe was kind of loose and knocking around alot but that doesnt seem like that would be a problem.

no...the short ram intake cone fell off when installing the battery and the engine ran like that for about 15 mins. when i popped the hood i connected the cone again.

the whole intake was bumping around my engine bay alot and i tried to tighten it but i couldnt in the rain.

i didnt touch the throttle body though

Bump for more opinions, its not really idle fluctuation. Alot of popping coming from the exhaust, and the car pulls at 5k rpm like it would doing 30mph in 5th gear.

sounds like spark plugs to me.. did you gap em right?

do a spark plug test..

(pull each spark plug wire off.. and if the engine changes idle.. then its good.. if it stays the same.. then its bad..

We actually did do this before and cyl # 3 wire being off did not change the way the car ran, also thats when we noticed the spark plug wire boot was broken completely
