Default so my friends jeep lightly slid across my door... :(

hey guys

today my friends jeep while turning out of a parking spot lightly rubbed against my front door.

it left a mark about 1 1/2 feet long, but i buffed the marks out. i thought it was only surface damage. no paint came off or anything.

however, upon closer inspection, i can see that the door kinda goes in... its hard to explain, but its like a 1 1/2 foot long "line dent" if you will.

its not really a ding, or a dent. i was wondering if a regular dent remover place can fix this? the damage isnt obvious at all, but if you look closely its there.

any input?

take off your door panel and try to push it out.

That'd be my advice as well.

You may be able to use a dolly and hammer (hammer on the inside of the door and dolly on the outside with a soft cloth so you don't damage the paint) to straighten it without hurting the paint as well if just pushing it out doesn't work.

I'd be very careful with a body hammer though, it could cause more harm than good in the hands of an unexperienced person.

if u can barely notice it now, i'd just leave it, cuz chances are its just gonna get worse trying to fix it
