ive seen the posts where it says j's racing intake doesnt out perform the aem cai etc... i have a couple questions concerning that. what if i want to replace my short ram with that intake? i have no interest in gettin a cai because i just dont lke my filter that close ot the ground. will that intake outperform my short ram? reason i ask is im upgrading my manifold so i will need the ITR style short ram so it will fit. so i figure, if im replacing my gsr short ram, i may as well replace it with something better. anyone have any info concerning passwords copy of the intake out performing an aem short ram? also, here is a link to it

i cant tell from the pic, does it have the inlet on the intake tube for the line from the valve cover? im not sure if i want to run a breather valve.

I wouldn't use the J's racing either. The AEM ITR cold-air system seems to be out performing all other intakes by quite a bit. I saw a thread here on H-T where the AEM beat the J's by like 7whp and a stock integra box and filter by 12whp. I have an AEM to try out on my motor in the spring. K&N has a bag made out some special material that can be put on the air filter to keep it from getting so dirty or wet. I have seen it on cars a few times now, I'll post up a link to it when I find it. I plan to use one on my AEM intake set-up.
the j's types do outperform the ame's in most cases ive seen
i run it on my personal car as well and love it.
all of my customers love it too.
pm me if you have any ?s

You sir I'm afraid are wrong. AEM ITR CAI > J's racing everytime.
(This applies to the 3" AEM ITR cold-air version only)
Check this out, things that make you go hmmmm....

If you search you'll find even more results like this and if you don't believe others put an AEM ITR on your car.

Well said. I'd like to see a dyno where a whale dick beats an AEM ITR too.

The J's does have nice throttle response. If you're looking for more power, then go with the AEM. Or a 3" short ram with a velocity stack and a K&N.

what are the affects of increased throttle response for the j, and then more power for the itr 3 inch, which would be faster, im just a little confused with every1 saying j has more throttle response, and that the itr 3 inch is making more power, more power equalls more response.....its faster, what i think....so in turn is it better for more tr, or more power, iow, is the aem laggy, but when it hits its more powerful

Prototype Racing ... search for it or magic intake and you will find a bunch of stuff to read. BTW you can run a filter w/ it too.

There we go I had a feeling that B19coupe would bring out some dynos showing the truth about the whale dick intake
. I would like to know where I could buy one of those magic velocity stacks are they expensive?

Not quite sure what you mean... Are you asking what Honda has the biggest intake diameter in stock form? If that is the question then I have no idea, but a guess would be the Type R.

i would run the breather line, if you dont all of your blow-by is not being recirculated, and polluting the air, and you get worse gas milage just from that little line not being hooked up

the biggest diameter pipe isn't necessarily the best, the bigger the pipe, the less velocity of air you'll have flowing, you want air to have velocity to be able to feed the engine with air better, too much velocity and you get turbulant air flow which is bad for air flow, you want a nice smooth airflow with a velocity stack/filter, the main purpose of the aem V2 and the j's is to collect more volume at the beginning, then make the diameter smaller before it goes into the engine. thats why the piping is larger at filter end, then gets smaller when it reaches the engine.
