i have asked this before but came up with no help. my friend has a 89 crx, i think a dx or something. He orderes si door panels ofr it but they dont fit because of the seat belt mechanism. Has anybody come across this or help a brother out?

 

Sounds like you got Si door panels with seat belts in the door , instead of Si panels with the seat belts in the B-pillars , don't hack them up resell them or trade them

89-91 si/dx has the door mounted seatbelts... i have a set of 89-91 si door panels if you are interested pm

 

Dude, it should fit but it will shake because its not a direct fit.

The 88/89 Si panels are the only one that fits perfectly because I have one side 88 Si and the other side 91 Si. I cut the lower plastic part (where the seat belt loops around) for the 91 Si panels but I didn't care when it make the noise.

 

wow. misinformation.

in 1988- all crx's had the seatbelts on the car (b-pillar), not the door.

in 1989- hf's had it on the car, but all other crx's (dx and si) had them on the door.

in 1990 and up- the seatbelts were all on the door.


you said you think it's an 89 dx. if it is, you need one for seatbelts on the door. but of course you've seen the car, that list should tell you what to look for regarding si door panels.

Nothing I said was incorrect!

It should state in 1989 and up-the seatbelts were all on the door (except the hf which had the 88 style doors)
