K, heres the problem, one night I was driving and my ABS light came on...a few minutes later during takeoff (normal driving), I noticed this weird loud sound...somewhat a loud screech. When I got home the light went off never to come on again, and I checked my brakes..Everything feels fine when driving...just that sometimes now during takeoff I hear this really loud weird whine...what could it be? Ive checked various tranny whine and clutch problem posts but couldnt find anything...thanks

Check to make sure your abs reservoir is full. With the hood open, it's the tank on the back left side of the engine bay (on 4th Gens that is).

Could the sound be coming from the ABS pump?

 

just finished checking all the fluids and what not, didnt see anything unusual =o, hmm
