anyone have a suggestion for a good but cam? all the ones i looked at are like 600 bucks

 

my comp cam 4 sale i think ive heard skunk 2 are decentt 2... just dont get obx

A cam on a SOHC VTEC engine is worthless without tuning (read - money) and there's no such thing as a cheap increase in performance on these engines when you're talking about all-motor components. You're in my city, so if you'd like some advice, feel free to AIM me at Archidictus.

cam in a single is useless. get a dohc and get some cam shafts and cam gears and your set
