I just picked up a Y8 head not too long ago. I think the red line on that car was 7.2k... I have countless A6 parts laying around... plus a block or two... I want to order a cam and head set up for the Y8... but there are some things i need to know...
1. Will the PnP A6 intake mani i already have work on the Y8?
2. How high can you rev the A6 bottom end? (stock, need to know for cam choice)
3. What head stud kit do you order?
4. I thinking of going to a Cometic Head Gasket as well (to raise the compression)... i think i need the Y8 from what i have read but i'd like some clarification.

1. Yes you can use a d16a6 intake manifold on a y8 head..I mean I put a y8 intake manifold on a a6 a while back so I dont see why it wont work the other way around
2. Not sure how high you can rev but I know people that rev to 7500 all the time on stock bottom ends..When I had an a6 I never took it past the stock 7200 rpm
3. Use d16y8 head studs
4. I have no experience with cometic so I'm not gonna say ****..

the goal is to run about 11:1 on pump gas... and run a loopy cam in it... and pray i pass emissions in VA lol. The tuner said go with hondata... and i never go against his word... I might go with ARP connection bolts on the bottom end to make sure i can run to 8k... I was going to go with ZC pistons, but that pushed the compression to 14:1 on most of the calculators floating around on the interweb.
