89 hf with jdm b16 obd0 need help wont get spark
I have a 89 hf that used to have an si head and si ecu i then swapped it out with a jdm b16a1 obd0 first gen. The motor was in a crx and i got the front end so it had everything i needed. I bought a new jdm shift linkage for it and got everything done. I went to start but no spark, so i checked all the plugs none sparked. So then i bought a brand new distributor and still no spark. I wired the v tec myself from pin out codes from hondaswap are there some wires that need to be moved around or what. And also i tested the two wires going to the ignition coil and both tested 12 volts. In one or two of the ecu connecters i had to splice some wires to wire vtec do i need to move those wires that were there to another slot. Pease help Im dying to hear this motor run it has aftermarket cams, gsr tranny w/lsd, and superchipped pr3 ecu(redlines at 9000). in the last crx it was in it ran a 13.7 i want to drive it ASAP
I have a question for you..How did you put a si head(16valve) on a hf block??..Im assuming you swapped out pistons..?

i have finally finished the swap i just switched my wiring harness off my old motor with the one that came with the b16 and it worked. The one that came with the motor was sending the ignition coil signals to the injector resistor box. After that it was throwing a code 6 which is ECT sensor(Engine Coolant Temperature) but it was only the thermostat so i replaced and it no check engine light so its all done. Im just waiting for my greddy catback exhaust to get here on saturday the 24th and then i can drive it and feel vtec for the first time in that car.
I did not do that motor work i bought it with the si head on it. so im not sure what they did to it when they swapped it.
