Catalytic converter?
I just got the invidia cat back system but can't install it as my car doesn't have a cat on it (not real sure) It is an hf which has been swapped to a b16 there is just the exhaust pipe connected to the headers. I am not real sure as I had a shop do the swap for me. The engine has the stock jdm xsi header on it(not sure of size), so my question is what size cat should I buy since exhaust is 2.36in. Should I buy 2.5in or 2.25in? Thanks in advance.

I got mine for like $170 with the CAT wilded on.

your cat should be hanging directly off your exhaust manifold.. if im not mistaken. you may need a new exhaust manifold if you want to run cat-less, and also if you want to run an aftermarket cat.
the issue is that honda moved the cat very close to the exhaust ports on the hf so to retain more heat so it lights off quicker. so instead of having it under the firewall like in the dx and si models, they made a different manifold that holds the cat right where you would want a turbo to go. you might want to hang on to that manifold if you ever want to go turbo in a d series, cause it is a simple $20 adapter plate to hang a couple different turbos from. and you can resell it too.

since your car WAS an HF it had the cat in a funky spot, hanging right off the exhaust mani(hence the reason hf manifolds are used as diy turbo manis)
what your shop probly did was put a header on an connected a pipe were the cat should have been to your stock exhaust. what you need to do is find someone with a civic or integra cat the they arnt using and have it all fit up together or go to checker or napa and get a universal weld in cat and then weld it in to your new exhast
easiest thing would be to go on ebay buy an ss aut chrome header and find a friend with a cat you could have
*edit*^damn you beat me too it**
