Default Turn signal/parking lights wiring

When you turn on your parking lights, one of the filaments of the bulb is lit and when you turn on your signals, both filaments are lit followed by one filament being lit followed by both, etc. Is there a way to wire it such that both filaments are lit while the parking lights are on?

If you swap the 2 power wires the high filament will be on and the low filament will be used for signals. However this makes it almost impossible to tell when you're using your signal from the front. This also makes the signals flash rapidly, and you could also melt or deform the bumper light housing. I would not suggest doing it, the housings were not designed to handle the heat from having the high or both filaments on all the time.

I am in the process of trying to come up with a circuit that will allow the parking light and blinker to be on at the same time. When the blinker is turned on, it will flash bot filaments (sp).

Yeah, I can't wait for Chris to finish his experimenting. I want mine to flash like that too, cause I hate that yellowed look it has right now.

Would just switching the contacts in the socket work??? Just a thought to think about.

I got it and it functions like this:
Note, both fillaments are tied together as one.
Cases(4 of them):

1. parking lights off, blinker off: Light is off
2. parking lights off, blinker on: Light is on
3. parking lights on, blinker off: Light is on
4. parking lights on, blinker on: Light is off

This might look like stock (with the exception of the swap of 3, 4 light state), and you are right...

But remember that both fillaments are acting as one and it will be bright all the time at night and still flash. THere is no more of that brown light (with superwhites) bull ****!!!

That sounds like the way some GM cars are, the ones that use the turn signals on full brightness to act as DRL's (which look better than dim high beams IMHO). If the car is on, the turn signals are on steady at full brightness. When a signal is activated, it flashes on and off, then goes back to being on when the signal cancels.
