i have skunk 2 cams and skunk 2 stage 2 camshafts and my upgraded valvetrain should i deck my head would if give me more power if so how much should i deck it my setup is a preety much stock b16A with intake exhaust so would it be good for me to deck it or just to throw everything on with out decking??

 

decking is normally referring to the block and milling is normally for the head, both mean the same thing, removing material. So....by doing this you're not creating any more power, this will however, increase comp and decrease p2v clearance (among other things, we can get into combustion chamber discussions and quench efficiency, blah blah, but these are the basics), its your call.

 

yeah thats what i was thinking cuz i was talking to some of my buddies about this and they told me im better off just throwin my cams on etc but i wanted to make sure im doing this right and not do half *** jobs!! i want to do it right and not end up doing it twice
