I need help switching my head gasket on my 1990 Civic Std. i assume the problem is my head gasket, seeing that white smoke comes out when i step on my gas pedal. i have searched around for a good walk thru on how to do it but couldn't find one. any and all help is appreciated. thanks

Take off valve cover.
Undo head from motor.
Replace gasket.
Put head back on.
Replace valve cover.

It's that simple, I don't wanna do a giant write up at school, but you get the idea. Go to a partsource and use the mitchell system to get tons of info. I did a t-belt just on that info.
