CTR Cams on my Stock GSR Block?
I already have Greddy 4-2-1 Headers on my motor now. Im only gonna put on CTR Cams, Toda Cam gears, AEM CAI, APEXI VAFC2, AEM Fuel rail and regulator, and a catback to hold me off till spring.
I've heard of ppl gaining like 5-8whp from CTR cams. I have no idea if that was tuned or just a result of throwing them in there. You will make very little power with cam gears, but you can shift the powerband to make mid-range power, with a lack of top end, or you can shift the powerband to make power at high RPM, with a lack of midrange power. You won't make any power down low driving a Honda, unless you are running a crazy stroker kit, or an extermely small turbo.
im almost positive that ctr cams will fit bc i was gonna do it to my car but i ran outta money
but to make sure just check the specs of it on google or something
sorry i couldnt be more help

umm no...ive seen a gsr with almost 180 whp (your stock gsr isnt making 180 whp) with the ctr intake cam...and bolt ons..youre most definately talking about untuned...

It made my car FEEL a lot faster, it was quite a bit louder when it hit the vtec lobe, I never got it dynoed so I don't know how much more power it puts out. If felt like it would keep pulling past redline, but I had stock redline so I would shift.
You may want to think of a single runner manifold and a chipped ecu to maximize the gains. What are you doing in the spring? When I had the cam, I was thinking of itr valvetrain so I could rev higher but I went a different route.

i'm currently thinking about either putting in the ctr intake cam or the skunk2 stage 1 cams in my gsr. i've seen b18c1s with ctr cams making around 170-180whp tuned. there's lots of people on here who have or had ctr cams in their b18c engine. search if you want to find numbers. just make sure you get a good intake manifold as well if you drop in the cams.
what are you planning to do to your car in spring? if you are going FI, i suggest you don't spend money on NA parts.

you will be happy with the gains you see from putting the cams in. Tunning is going to show you the best results, and optimal driveability

They are definitely worth the money when you are going n/a. Your best results will be with tuning. Your best bet is to get a chipped ecu. They re-map your air-fuel, as well as, changing v-tec point and rev-limiter. Its custom, so you can get it tuned specifically to maximize the power your invidual car can get. Try "Phearable.net"
