91 crx si seats in a 89 hf not bolting up....
i know somone has tried to do this before. i did search but didnt find much... how can i get my 91 si seats to fit in my 89 hf? the brackets dont bolt up to the seats and the si brackets dont bolt to the floor in the hf... any sujestions? what have other ppl done?
Because of the in-the-door seat belts, the 91 has slightly different floorboard reinforcement than the 89.
If it can be done, I believe it requires swapping all the "soft parts" from the 91 seats over onto the 89 seat pan....delicate surgery with such old foam and cloth.
Search for "seat" in archived posts... or look in the FAQ thread... you'll find a thorough thread with pictures somewhere.

You also have another option.
Weld new brackets that can bolt the seat to the seat rails. Make sure you measure carefully. Double and triple check you measurements to get the seat positioned where you want it.
This is the bracket I made to fit Jetta GLi Recaros to 91 CRX seat rails

yeah i haven't gotten around to spacing out the brackets to get it to sit level. F*ck honda and there stupid floor pan design for the seats lol. All the mounting points are at different heights. It makes for a lot of trial and error. I wish I had a heated garage cold weather is really discouraging for working on cars.
