Smoke coming from engine bay after VTEC ?
I just replaced the headgasket on my B16A. When I took my car for a drive, a lot of smoke started to come out of the engine bay. I can't see where the oil is leaking (if any) but I am thinking that it may be a camshaft seal or maybe the VTEC solenoid. Any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciatted.

How long does the smoke last? After doing a headgasket replacement, there will be lots of extra residue/moisture/coolant/oil/etc just sitting there. It'll get burned off when the heat from the initial motor run gets to it.
If it continues, you have to try to diagnose it. It can be caused by many many things. Give us more specifics. Are you losing coolant? Are you overheating? Do you get heat? Do you get leaks anywhere? (on the ground, on the engine, in the bay, etc?)

Thats exactly what I thought the problem was. I has been 2 days after I started the engine. And no, there is no visible leaks and oil and coolant levels are ok. I guess i just have to wait to see if it keeps on smoking. I will give it about a week befor I start taking it apart. Thanks for the reply.
