Rethreading a short shifter?

Default Rethreading a short shifter?

my old short shifter snapped right where the threads end. I was wondering if i could rethread my shifter still. and if so, how?

Yes you can as I have done it. You will need a die as in tap and die. Although you may need to grind down some material if the taper gets bigger, which most do. Take your time, this should be easy if you don't rush in using the die or in grinding.
