what is rattling. It sounds like its coming from the front, and i did hit something in the road (a mail truck wheel block) and it knocked off a metal thing that looks like it was on the cat converter or something. I dunno

 

I can speak for the 5th Gen Accords: the 2k buzz (as it's called around here, is the product of engine vibration and a sympathetic vibration setting up in one of the exhaust heat shield(s). Most times it's the Catalytic Converter Heat Shield (upper half). Reported successful repairs involved clamping it to the Converter case which steel hose clamps (tightened within an inch of their lives).

thanks p, i've heard it on a few accords i've driven in and i just noticed its really loud now. well not terrible but i can hear it. I will see if i can clamp it down because it makes my car sound ghetto haha.

 

also, i don't really know that much about exhaust, but when i was listening and revving the engine i noticed it sounds like there is bov in the back or i might have a small hole or something?

 

Get the converter shield squared away first. The condition in the rear may be from the same thing. (That sound travels in strange and mysterious ways

thanks for the help. i do know a hose clamp fell off when i hit that block, and i guess it was from the shield. I will have to get another one and tighten it up. Thanks again.
