Some guy in a 2005 grand prix just ran into my car. Damage isnt too bad but insurane will take care of it (and maybe a lil extra for some upgrades mwaha)
Anyway, what do you guys think this will cost *appraised at a body shop*
I know it will be less than what a bodys hop says- but what do you think they will say?
pics:

thanks!

It looks to be part of the rear fender. (I can't tell if thats a seam in the 1st pic or a vertical scratch)
Something similar to that was about 1000 to fix at the body shop. I did a little worse, but my guess to straighten the sheetmetal and fix the bumper would be in the 800 range.

yeah theres no way its TOTALLED/SALVAGED...
the car is perfectly fine cept for the cracked plastic fender and the lil bend piece which is SEPERATE from the rear 1/4 panel and the rear 1/4 panels are fine... as long as the keyhold sheetmetal thing can be replaced for some cost i think itll be fine.
I estimated like $1000 painted and all

the keyholepart is connected to ur rear 1/4panel,
which is welded on,
MAYBE one of those pdr/dentpro guys can pop the dent out.
but otherwise a bodyshop would need to do it.
they have a machine that'll pull it back out into shape,
then repaint that area,
and repaint ur bumper.
I'm guessing around 500bux when all is said and done?
Just a guess tho

It's hard to give an accurate estimate with the pics being so close, but anyways.... You'll need a new bumper and the piece under the taillight is it's own seperate piece which that will need to be replaced too.
Why do you care about the price if insurance (probably his) is going to be paying for it? But yeah, those two new parts, labor to straighten the brackets that hold them on, then paint for the two pieces, and installation labor. You're probably looking at a $500-650 range.

1,000,000 Dollars.
Theres a lot it depends on, bumper support, etc.,
If no bumper support damage was done at all, then I'de say 1,000 at a reputable body shop.

thanks for all the replies...
i dont think there is any bumper support damage, everything still lines up fine cept for the keyhole thing being bent and the bumper being cracked a little...
I just want to know how much it will cost so i can plan do either do it myself and save a lil for upgrades or just pay a shop to do it all (if keyhole part IS NOT replaceable and has to be bodyworked back into shape...)
