Do you guys have any suggestions on this build. I was trying for 200whp out of this 81mm non-vtec engine.

The reason I'm building this engine cause back in the day, Circa 93-98, all my friends had them in their cars and the sound of the cams just got me hooked on all-motor ls's.

I remember going to Bolsa Chica, Carson, Ontario street races were a vtec swap was the sh*T. Peter from PYR, and the red DPR integra were my heroes. After awhile people hated sitting in traffic with there cars shaking/stalling/ so that when the vtec head came into play.

So don't say put a vtec head on and make more power that's not me. Even back in the day our non-vtec cars would kill. People would be amazed on how we could beat these vtec motors.

I love the lobe on the non-vtec engines.

How much have you spent so far on the motor alone, cuz that looks just like what I want to do.

first person I know to have experimented with the 405s....what CR are you running?

You should stop by nonVTEC.com with your build, ps.

Pretty cool setup man. I don't really think you are goign to hit 200 WHP, and I'm sure its goign to idle like crap, but its goign to be one quick motor for sure.

they're not....we have a ton of people over at nonVTEC.com running -very- highly modified motors that haven't had very many problems at all.

theres an article on how to do it on TOO's website. basically the water port is the only difference, MOST all bolt locations are the same and the runners are "basically" oriented the same (port shape, angle air comes in, ect).

build looks good, hopefully this spring ill be in the same neighborhood power wise (im shootin for 185-195) im just takin a different route.

thats a big cam!!!!! should be a sick motor. i would say more along the lines of 180's whp. but coming from a LS, that **** is crazy! i was only able to push 150whp outta my LS on 403 cams before i switched over to the dark side - LS/V

Very nice build!

I would say, to reach your 200whp goal, you'll need bigger displacement.
