Default ROTA owners, Do you have hubcentric rings or Does the wheel ride on the studs?

Two questions.

ROTA owners, Do you have hubcentric rings or Does the wheel ride on the studs?

When you bought your Rotas did yours come with hubcentric rings or did it fit perfectly and sit on the center hub?

I bought hub rings to use with mine. I believe that rota wheels have a 67mm diameter (mine do anyway) and then you need the size for your car.

I got them from work, Keystone Automotive. You should be able to get them from most places that sell wheels.

Default HubSucktric rings

I purchased a set for my last set of Rota wheels...I didn't notice any difference. But when I took my wheels off after a few months of them being on...they were melted to the rotors/drums...I had to chisel them off. So I never baught any for my new set of Rotas.

Anyone else experience this issue? Would anti-sieze lube help this issue?

how hard of driving did you do? I have a few auto x's on my rotas with the hubcentrics and they have not melted on me. I still recommend hub centrics unless you can deal with a small vibration in the steering wheel around 65ish mph.

I could see them melting from an all day track event if you were under heavy braking becasue it doesnt take much for a small piece of plastic to melt under high temps. I use them anyway because i can't stand the small vibration that is caused in the steering wheel when not using them.

If you can torque them with a torque wrench while the tires/wheels are off the ground you'll be fine w/o hub rings.

can you guys post pics... im a noob at this.

*i think what you guys are talking about is a piece makes the wheels sit on the hub, instead of floating around untill you torque them down... like for example, stock wheels sit on the hub, but the rota slips have a larger diameter so they sit on the studs... ????????

can you guys post pics...

I'd call DiscountTireDirect.com: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do ...They should be able to hook you up...I think they're around $15 shipped.
