Default How good of a deal is this 2001?

Well, I've been tinkering with the idea of getting an S2000 for my wife to compliment my '97 ITR. I really don't want to go through the regret of selling the R again, but I recently got a promotion, so a decent second car is finally a possibility. I'd probably race autocross in AS with street tires this season just to "learn" RWD.

I checked it out today and it's totally legit and the price seems fair. It's currently owned by a 60 year old Orthodontist and has neever been raced competitively. Any thoughts?

thanks fellows,

very low mileage for 5 years old car.. See if you can talk him down to $19k even... but still it's not a bad price assuming that the car's in good condition... They're selling newer RSX-S with more mileage for around that price..

Looks good but does seem a little high. Though with that kind of mileage, I'd ask for that amount too. I'd think mid-18's would be more appropriate.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess I'm used to depreciation on ITR's.

I didn't realize the S2000's went down in value that quick. I guess the CW paint makes the "old" R's keep their value. j/k

Oh, BTW, the car is basically mint except the rear SO2's that are at 1/3 treadlife and a few specs of dust.

Yeah, I pretty much bought my s2k for about the same price as I sold my R for.

Looks really good. I have the exact same colors (Silverston Silver/Red/black interior). I love it, although it's stored in the garage for winter now...

That's not too bad a deal. I bought my 01 last year with 13k miles, OEM hardtop and stand for $22k, so that's not to bad. I'm sure you can talk it down at least $500 if not a grand

To be honest, the black S2k's definitely look the best, but I'd want one with low mileage. I'll trade ya.

You should use that picture for your avitar.

Screw the Berlinaaa's. SS is the way to go (less washes/month ).

If you trade your R for an S, your ulcers will go away.
Practicality will go down, but it Really Would make a big Difference in performance. We will all rule AS together!

I think the car looks great, not my fav. color, but looks nice. I think the pric is a tad high might want to see if he can knock it down to 19,000 or 19,400, cause you're probably going to want to add some personal "flair" to the car. Otherwise I like it, and congrads.

that price of the car is fair. i paid 23 for my 03 with 23k on it

make sure the call has had the spark plug tsb done on it, and the 00-01s had the cylinder 1, cylinder wall scratching issues.
