Does the Use of Synthetic MTF Cause Premature Wear on the Transmission?
If I recall correctly, Honda MTF is not a synthentic based oil so it makes me wonder why this is the case. After going through the archives, someone mentioned that our trannys need friction to work correctly. More specifically, the process of the synchros meshing with the gears need friction to mesh more smoothly.
Does synthetic based MTF hinder this friction?

If you look under the thread I created about fluids...Bbasso provided a link to another site where someone had sent the MTF off and had a compositional analysis performed....very informative!

Yeah, I want to know the same thing.
So I guess the answer is then, synthetic MTF has no ill effects on our tranny's.
