the oil pan and the oil?

i was wondering if the type of oil and how old can effect the hp and dyno.
also i was wonder if it would hurt the hp if the oil pan is dented really bad cause thats what wrong with mah **** when i dyno and hot 178.2 with the spoon camshafts spoon camgears comtech 4-2-1 headers and aem cold air and v-afc controller tunned and camgears tunned to get what i got

Yep, old oil can affect dyno numbers.
Dented oil pan should not affect hp(unless it is really bad displacing a couple of quarts or something like that)
You just quoted peak power; What about midrange? That is where most gains are with the spoon cams.

If the oil level is effectively raised to where the crankshaft is hitting the oil, it will create drag as the crankshaft passes through it. That will hurt HP.

midrange i ganned like 3-4 from 5500rpm to 6500rpm then it went back down same as stock and then my high end went up a little from 175hp to 178hp?
all of this i got after tuning the camgear and the v-afc and even set the v-tech to 6000rpm
when i get my scanner to work i will post up the dyno sheets
