Ok heres the deal, i looked under my 91 hb today and notice i have a little gas leak.The gas seems to be dripping down the side of the tank,any tips on finding the source of the leak? The leak is coming from the drivers side and like i said its dripping down the tank, so it must be up somewhat high.Any help would be great i just dont wanna take it to a mechanic and get raped on them doing a job that i could have done myself! also the leak is in the area near the front of the rear wheel on the drivers side.

 

the driver's side is where the inlet is, possibly a vent hose came loose from that area. You'll probably have to drop the tank to see (I'm not sure about that, somebody correct me if I'm wrong)

 

Honda had some trouble with corrosion in the area of the filler pipe. In some cases Honda replaced the leaking plumbing under an extended warranty. Maybe contact a dealer and check it out.
