Hi, I have a 91 Prelude 91 with a 2.1. I'm getting a code 12 and a code 15 from the light on the computer. I know the code 12 is a EGR problem, but i'm not sure what the 15 means. It says bad or missing ignition ouput signal. I guess my question is how can I fix the problem with the ignition ouput signal... I really dont know where to start, Ive never heard of that before. I would assume that for the EGR code I would have to replace the EGR valve. Any help would really be appriciated. Thanks, Nick

 

for the egr code you probably just have to clean the egr system maybe. try cleaning the valve before buying a new one.

the other problem do you have a tach in the car? does it work? the code could be from the ignitor I know 92+ preludes and accords like having problems with there ignitors. the ignitor is on the inside of the dizzy. its like a circuit board with a bunch of wires going to it. put dielectric grease on the terminals and make sure they are tight.
