New Integra owner
Hey guys, i'm new to the forum and the honda scene so i just wanted to introduce myself. I used to drive a 91 n/a 300zx but now i'm the owner of a 99 taffeta white 2dr Integra LS with a GSR swap. It's got a decent CF hood, progress coilovers, a viper alarm, AEM cold air, rota wheels and a factory lip kit. I'll definately get pics up as soon as i can. Also, I'm looking for either a stock b-pipe or an after market exhaust. Since i'm a noob and can't post in the marketplace if anyone has anything send me an email at gmoney088@gmail.com. I'd rather get the stock b-pipe since i'm broke or a tanabe rear section
congrats, i think i remember you posting, asking about getting a teg, was that you? or a dif guy with a 300z?
Anyways, congrats, and i know you'll love the car!

haha there definately is no white castle in cherry hill the movie was wrong. As for the 300zx it was too unpractical for the time being. I love the car but a car that old requires a lot of time and care that i couldn't give it. Maintence is kind of a bitch and since it's rear wheel drive it's a little scary driving in snow/rain. So if i were you 97cgpintegra i wouldn't get that car unless you have a lot of time and money to take care of it, and if you do end up getting one do yourself a favor and get the twin turbo i always i wish had.
thanks for the reply. yeah, i agree the twin turbo 300zx are alot better, but it's rare and expensive. i was thinking about either building the na 300zx for turbo or swaping the motor if i decide for it to be my project car. is the na version really that slow? what other kinda maintence did you have to do compared to the integra? i don't get snow here and only get alittle rain so i ain't worried about rwd.
twinturbo.net is the best Z forum out there. I was also researching building an NA or doing a TT swap but everyone on the forum will tell you that it's not cost effective at all. The average price for a na - TT conversion is around 6-7k. I'm not a car expert so i really don't know too much about that unless you can do it by yourself. Starting with a TT from the start is way cheaper and i've seen some go for like 7-9k. The NA version has considerable power at 222HP and i think 190torque but the curb weight of the car brings it down. Seriously save your money for the TT. Thats what i'm planning on doing. Maintence things you have to worry about are the 60k maintence which is the timing belt and other misc. things but it costs about a grand since the engine is so big and the job isn't easy to do. Parts for that car are also expensive in comparision to honda parts and since it is a rarer car the community is small and options are somewhat limited. Don't make the same mistake i did go boost
thanks for your reply, i'll check out the twinturbo.net forum. i guess the na version is appealing to me because i can find one with about 100k miles for around $4000 in great condition. i do almost all the maintence on my integra myself, hopefully the 300zx isn't too hard to work with. i am worried about parts cost. well, i guess i just have to do some research on my own to see if this is really what i want. thanks.
