Default 92' Accord ... Brake booster/Master cyl. pushrod adjustment

I have a leaking master brake cylinder, that needs replacing. I've noticed in the factory Accord Service Manual, ... that the pushrod clearance adjustment is very critical. The manual shows that a pushrod adjustment gauge, (07GAG-SE00100), is needed, for this adjustment.

Can this proceedure be done without using the Honda adjustment gauge? Is there an aftermarket tool that can be used instead.? Any other suggestions? Appreciate all input. Thanks

install a honda brake master cylinder or 1 made by Adler and don't have to worry about the adjustment ..if u buy from the Deadzone or checkers or some other cheap masters then u might have to do the adjustment ..

Take out the old MC & compare how far the piston rod sticks out from the MC. If the new & old are exactly the same length, it's OK.
