Default 215/50 15 w/15x7 +40 offset wheel ??????

I know this is an uncommon size for honda guys and that it doesnt work well with civics. I've done some reaserch and found this size to be closest in dimension to factory 195/55 in overall diameter and revs per mile. I also know there isn't a large selection of tires that come in this size, Im looking at the BFG g-force sport cause it comes in this odd size. The sugested rim width for this tire is 7", witch I have, and I have a +40 offset.

I think I'll be ok but, I just want to know for shure:

Anyone running this size tire and which one?

hows your clearence?

and how low is yor car?

pics would be greatly appreciated with the specs or your wheels

thanks
-brad

205/50-15 is more commonly used than that size for Integras/Civics.

that's true, but 215 will give you better tire contact, but also will have more chance of rubbing. i think it depends how your suspension is set-up. sorry i haven't ran that tire size on my car, so i can't really help too much.

thats why I want to run it, the contact patch. I have tanabe sustec pros. when I had azenis one 6.5" wheels with a +38 offset I had to have the car a little on the high side. I just want to find out if people have run this size so I dnt have to find out the hard way that is not a good fit.

215/50/15 is not a recommended size for Integras. What are you doing with your car? If it's just daily driving (or at least the majority) don't waste your time with that size and use what is correct.

Agree, i'm running 205/50/15 and my car is tucked all around, 215 would just rubb too much for my taste.

Thank you, what wheel dimensions and how much rubbing.

I have 205/50 on my wheels now and they look a little skinny for the wheel, well compared to when they were on 6.5" width wheels.

I know I can fit more tire, If I dont rub this low, I dont think I will with my car the inch higher it is now.

The original azenis 205 contact patch on a 6.5" rim, seem to be the same as a 215 on a 7"rim.

195/55 sugested rim width 6" section width 7.9" overall diam. 23.4" revs per mile 888
205/50 sugested rim width 6.5" section width 8.4" overall diam. 23.1" revs per mile 900
215/50 sugested rim width 7" section width 8.9" overall diam. 23.5" revs per mile 885

These are from Tirerack for the bfg g-force sport

I ran ADVAN A048 215/50-15 on 6.5 "+50 Hayashi Racing center locks. I ran this setup for drag and Touge (mountain runs) with no problems whatsoever.

I have since move up to 15x7 offset 45 Regamasters with 225/50-15 BFG's.

Thank you very much for your long awaited info. Your car is about the same height as mine in that pic. hows the learence with the 225's??? I have a 40 offset, not sure how much of a difference in clearence I would have compared to your 45 offset

Before I added the 4 pistons Nissan calipers and 300mm rotors the clearance was similar to the ADVAN tires. I jsut ordered widended fenders to match the spacers that I added to the calipers/rotors would clear.

Why didn't I move up to 16" wheels? Because I already have several sets of 15" tires and SS Works made the kit for 15" wheels. Too bad the fucktards did not give me the correct specs for the wheels. I wish I would have bought CE28's instead of the Regamasters. Oh well, **** happens.
