I have a 1991 Accord EX 2.2L that recently started idling abnormaly. Wife told me that when she cranks the car up in the morning, it idles up and down after runnin for a few minutes. I started her car this morning and after about 3 minutes of warm-up, i hit the brake to take it out of Park and it started idling up and down, close to 2000 and back down to 1000. Does this vehicle have an IAC(Idle air control) valve or does this sound like a possible vacuum problem? Idle is better after car is upto operating temperature.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

yes...sounds like a problem with the iacv to me...it is located either under the intake manifold plenum or on the back of the intake manifold near the throttle body (sorry, it's been a while since i've had an f22 in my accord)...try replacing the screen first...if that doesnt work, you may need to replace the iacv all together...hope that gets you started in the right direction...

Also consider the fast idle thermo valve, I have seen them cause irratic idle problems in 4g's. (if they are not getting coolant.)
