There was a guy here a few years ago that build one, srp pistons, same rods, stock b16 head, basically the same setup. Made 174whp on a dynojet.
I'd say your good.

pretty good turn out... i have bout the same setup... i have the same pistons.. but i have a 99 gsr head. dc 4-2-1 headers... gsr cams.. im wanting to do the same thing.. ctr intake cam and a new set of headers..... let me know what the hp diff is with the ctr intake cam/// i want to know if there is a huge power gain.. just keep us informed
very nice........ im really thinkin of purchasing a intake cam.... im not goin power crazy so im just gonna keep it reasonable.......
thats flywheel HP? the torque graph says flywheel on it? what dyno was this on? thats about 137ft-lbs of torque which seems too high for pretty much a stock LS/Vtec
Its not flywheel becuase it was done on a dyna pack. I do not know why it says that.
Any how do you figure its a pretty stock ls/vtec?

Well being that its a B18b block with the lower r/s ratio, I should not be revving it anything past 8k. But if you look at my dyno, I really do not need to rev it that high. I stop making power after 7.7k. I do have forged rods and pistons and a block guard, so it is a little safer than stock.
Don't worry so much about rod-to-stroke ratio.
You have aftermarket rods with strong rod bolts. Rev that thing to 9k if you've got the cams.

i' am building my lsvtec but i was wondering if i can use my b16 rods with arp rod bolts with CTR.25 pistons??? if not which rods would be good and not too expensive ain't gonna rev higher than 8700- 8900rpm...
