Well....My Jun 3 cams broke....Pics inside
I took the car to the Hondata dealer, and he tuned the ECU using a wideband oxygen sensor after installing the RC 440's and several passes on the street. We drove the 60 km to the dyno to do further fine tuning and see what power the car made. On the dyno, after the second run, the cams BROKE. The run was already done, and the technician was already off the gas, there was a loud noise and the engine shutoff. We pulled the valve cover and there it was...a broken exhaust cam. My compression on three cylinders was all low.

I already contacted Jun about the problem, and they have asked me to ship them my head so that they can take a look at it. They have told me that if the cams are defective, they will pay for whatever parts need to be replaced.

Man, that totally bites. I'm sorry man, i can imagine how pissed you are right now. You just prepped your head and block for this set up and it screws up on you.
Good luck, hopefully jun will help you out. Was there any visual damage to the head that you could see?

I am sure that some valves are bent as I have low compression on three cylinders
Man that blows!! I hope all goes well for you. I also heard this happen once to somebody after a race, but they had the Skunk2 cams.
I've actually never seen a post of snapped jun cams, but i have always heard of it. When i went to the dyno day at import builders back a few weeks ago, Jeff told me he just broke some jun cams.
Most people say cam breakage is due 99% to the installer. Canuck, would you say your technician did a good job installing these? Proper torque specs etc...
I'm a little worried about installing my cams in a few more weeks now...How much did you advance cam timing when this snapped?

When your car was being tuned were your cam gears being adjusted? I heard that with the Jun 3's to not change your cam gears more then +/-1 degree. I have heard of some other people breaking their Juns. Sorry bro hope you get some of your money back.

are JUN cams billet or regrinds?
OMG they broke? I feel sorry for you, and i hope JUN is forthcoming in reimbursing you the money for all the damages. Man i can't believe that **** happened. I don't know what else to say.
make sure that if it is a manufacter defect and they will not pay for it, you tell them that you're going to give them a bad rep on the internet with pictures and everything...... usually when they hear this they'll rethink their decision because a bad rep on the internet goes around REALLY fast and could easily account for a 50% decrease in their sales.
I think there was a guy with Crower cams that broke on him due to manufacter defect.... he posted it everywhere and I think Crower said they'd fix everything as long as he took the pics down and deleted his bad posts about Crower

i think the cams broke due 2 the installation, if its not even torque on each bolt all the way down then it will snap, if u havent sent the head in, make sure all the bolts have the same torque...
This just goes to show... it's not a crower defect, or a regrind defect, **** happens.
The person that got shitted by crower is making a webpage since he blames them for his damage... http://www.crowersucks.com stuff like that really hurts a company and i wouldn't want to be the one responsible for such an act. i'm sure they will work with you. they are a very highly respected company. that's why you, and a lot of other people, pay the big bucks for their cams.
EDIT: Looks like crower might have seen his website and attempted to resolve the issue...

Canuck, I am sorry this is very sad to hear. I first saw your car over on CSi.com and I was very surprised when I saw this post.
I have seen another post were Jun cams broke, it was in 3 places though, not two. Unfortunately for that guy he had bought them used and Jun wasn't willing to work with him.
I main reason I have heard for cams breaking in the past is problems with the timing belt, the belt can snap a cam if it is out of spec. This is mainly due to installer error.
I am not saying that is the case here, it is entirely possible that you may have gotten some bunk cams ... if that is the case then I hope that Jun stands behind there product.
Not to be an *** but could you tell us the dyno results?
Man...that licks in a very real and serious way.
What is it with broken cams, anyway? Seems like I'm always hearing about them. I don't think I want to get into my motor now.

dont say that to them. thats stupid. why would they want to help you if you're just gonna threaten them. just talk to them and be honest. everyone knows jun makes great products. **** happens, it happens to everyone. i just lost $2500 cash and i have no ****** idea where it was. i'm not an idiot, **** just happens sometimes.
I think the term "Sh*t happens" applies to bad events which happen to you that you had no control over. For example, you're driving on the freeway and you get killed by a drunk driver. In this situation "Sh*t happened". You lost $2500 cash and have no idea whatsoever about where you lost it. In this case, you probably weren't careful enough with your substantial amount of cash. When I had $1500 cash in my hand I was holding on to it so tight and when I put it in my pocket I was making sure it was still there every few seconds.
Hehe, what's up Halo? yeah, I've been busy lately with school and my recent job. Now that I'm making a little money I'm finally able to start on a little modding
