hey guys i have a 97 civic hatch with a stock motor . My chck engine light is on and the i was told that the o2 sensor needs to be changed. Can someone give me advice on how to change it>?thanx

 

First off you need to figure out which one it is, primary or secondary. Both are in the exhaust manifold on that car, one should be accesible from the top in the engine bay, and one from the bottom of the car. Buy an O2 sensor socket from AutoZone, etc., unscrew it, unplug it, put the new one in, plug it in. Good to go.

Check out http://www.sparkplugs.com for a replacement one. You can buy them with or without the plug on the end. If you get it without you have to wire it up yourself.
