Default 93 accord - codes 12 and 14 (re: CEL)

Ok,
i used the methods posted to retrieve the codes - appear's to be 12, and 14.
long, short short - then after a few seconds, long, short short short short.

these codes appear to be:
12 EGR - exhaust gas recirculation lift valve
14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve

any idea's on fixing it? again, the symptons are, car runs fine - 10-20 minutes into drive (especially hiway speeds) CEL will turn on. will shut off when car is off and turned back on, and will come back on once again after a few minutes.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

***the car seems to run well - just pops up CEL sometimes***

Easiest thing to check is vacume leaks at: ( for code 14)
pcv valve
pcv hose
EVAP canister purge valve
Throttle body
intake manifold
Brake booster hose

It would be quite urgent to me to keep my car from running like a piece of crap.
But is the car going to blow up and die? It may get worse if you don't fix it soon.

I wouldn't say it's dire need (if it's not affecting anything else). But I heard that if you spray carb cleaner on the hoses the leak, if there is one, will show itself. That may not be the problem, but it's pretty easy to check out.
