Default Where to buy oversized h22 (type-s) piston rings...???

Like the title states... I cant seem to find anyone that carries these rings.
The OEM rings are expensive as hell... anyone have some suggestions for me?
Also, I've had some confusions with what size the pistons actually are... they are ".25 over" so wouldnt that make them 87.25?

Thanks for the help.

I've been told that although the pistons are stamed "25" that they are actuall 10 over pistons... can anyone verify this?

You can use USDM O/S H22 rings for your Type-S pistons. I am in the same boat as you. I have pistons, but no rings.

For the H-series, usless you have sleeved the block, use factory rings. Also read the Helms as to what one goes where, 1st and 2nd ring.

Can you explain why I should only use factory rings?

Alright thanks for the clarification.

So what rings exactly should I be looking for?

Just use OEM H22 oversize rings from a stealership or an online parts place. They will work fine with the FRM cylinders.

I might have to do that but haven't had much luck finding them online... and locally they are expensive as hell.

as far as i know honda made rings before they made engines. I will almost always go with honda rings over others, specially when using stock pistons.

we had a brand new set of hastings that were way too loose straight out the box, had to goto the dealership the next day for a set of stock rings.

imo if you can use stock rings, use it. i'd only go aftermarket if i overbored too far
