Default JDM or USDM Final Drive - Where to get one?

Hi everyone,

I am planning to do an all motor H22 build this winter and thought it would be best to start with upgrading the tranny. I already have LSD, but the biggest problem is that it is a european model and it has 4.062 Final drive, which is really shitty (this difference in final drive translates into 0.7 second of 0-60 time, where euro model need 7.5 secs for it and USDM has 6.8).
I was first looking into some aftermarket final drives, but they are pretty expensive, so I thought that getting a used or new USDM (or JDM) final drive would be the best option.
So could please anyone point me to where I can get any of these.

Thanks.

Well, I was mainly considering the ATS unit, as I was told by their representative that their unit for H22 should come out by the end of this year. The price should be approx. 1000 USD + shiping from Japan.
I was also looking at the prodrive (I hope I remeber the name correctly) but their unit was about 1250 USD + shipping + taxes (as I'm in europe), which would make it more than 1500. And I've also heard that their final drive was not good for drag racing.
I haven't checked the gearspeed yet, so I will be doing it right now. Thanks for the link.

well im sure you could find someone with a crapped out transmission, you will need the countershaft and the final gear....look for people who have bought a final drive like that....

2point6 might have something...

There's a new company out of taiwan selling FD's in the sponsor section.

Innovative i think is the name.

iirc it's 600 bucks for a h22 FD from them. but they're new and i don't know if anyone's running one of these.

PreludeEst: what's your tranny code? I think you're mistaken. None of VTEC model had FG different from 4.266.
