99 Accord 4cyl will not run...
This has progressively become a more difficult problem. For a while, the car would randomly die and have issues restarting. It would normally die in the first 5 minutes of driving, then have no more problems after that. I parked the car for less than two days, and now it won't run after it starts. I disconnected power from the ECU, and after enough failed attempts to start, it threw the CEL on. I've used a paperclip to short pins 4 and 9 on the ODB2 connector, but the CEL just flashes long and slow with no obvious codes. I counted around 60 looong flashes before my ADD kicked in and I forgot what I was doing in the first place.
When I turn the ignition, the car starts normally and revs to about 1K rpms as normal, then chokes down for around 3 seconds before dying. If I try to start it immediately after it stops, it just turns but won't turn over, however, after 20 seconds or so, it will easily start again, and do the same thing. I really need to get this going ASAP, so any educated guidance is greatly appreciated.
A parallel resource I've been monitoring...

Are you running any aftermarket spark plug wires? I had a similar problem when my distributor was going because I was running some 10mm ebay aftermarket wires on my integra. They fried my distributor twice.... just a thought.....have you checked your distributor?
By the way man, I've been following your posts for a few months. I'm really impressed by how you stay true to your car's motor and don't do the usual swaps that everyone does. Do you have anywhere I can see some more pics of your car?
If it was equipped with an in-line fuel filter, I'd suggest looking to that. But since it's incorporated into the pump assembly (in tank); the prospects are now more complicated.
When you mention it "chokes down" as a gradual (rather than a sudden) shut off points me to fuel now.
It's acting like a partially clogged filter where after the pump initially "charges" the fuel rail, it can't keep up with demand 'cuz the filter won't allow enough flow - and the engine quits.
I'd pull the plastic air inlet tube from the throttle body (typed that a LOT lately), and have someone stand by with a can of spray Carb Cleaner. Immediately after it stalls, have the able bodied assistant spray some cleaner into the t/b; and try to restart it. If (unlike before) it immediately restarts, that confirms it's a fuel delivery problem. (The Carb Cleaner substitutes of Fuel)
