Can you use z6 Distributor on a y8 head.....?
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if It's okay to use a d16z6 distributor on a d16y8 head. I'm running a ZC block w/ a d16z6 vtec head (OBD1, P28 ECU) and im putting a y8 head now....so does anyone know if i can use the same z6 distributor? And also, which head gasket should i use? (zc or d16y8)......THANKS ANYONE......

the dizzy's should swap. check out http://www.d-series.org you will deffinately find your answers there. as far as head gaskets, if your using sohc head then you prolly have a sohc zc block. use the z6/y8 head gasket. they're both the same 3-layer metal head gasket.
