Default Curb weight vs. Actual weight

Is there a difference between the two? And if there is, what is it? It's been a question thats been bugging me for a while. TIA

Curb weight as published by auto manufacturers includes the car with a full tank of gas and all fluids filled to spec.

If I'm not mistaken, the curb weight is the weight of the car alone (2600 pound) the actual weight is the car with four passengers. (or is it vice versa)

well...at the drag strip their scales said i weighed in at 2730 or so with me in it and I'm a 6'4" 200lbs guy...yay me..

That's correct.

Actual weight is whatever it weighs. If you're in it, it includes your weight. If the tank is half full, it includes only half a tank of gas. If your dog is in the back seat, it includes his weight, too.
