Problem?
So I finally got finished replacing my oil pan. It was a pain staking ordeal and I hated every minute of it because I'm not a patient person
I turned the car on after putting everything back and putting in the oil. I ran the car and did a spot check to see if any leaks started up. After running the car for 3-4 minutes, I figured everything was cool, right? Well, the car was still warming up a little and then I noticed smoke coming from the hood. It was very slow and my first instincts told me that I probably f'd up installing the manifold because I kinda heard a rattling of what I think might have been the gasket? I turned the car off and moved it back into my garage. No leaks occurred but I don't like the idea of smoke coming from my hood.
Am I right in my assumption that it might the manifold? I had a bitch of a time putting that back in because I was trying to line up that bracket right next to the oil pan. I just did away with that because it really isn't necessary. Do you have to follow a specific routine when you put the manifold back on?
Let me know what I did wrong or what the cause may be...

Did you repaint the manifold using anything? My friend used hi temp spraypaint on his header and it smoked like a BITCH. Other than that, maybe you got some fluid on the manifold like oil, it will smoke, but wont burn off very quickly.
You probbaly spilled some oil on your exhaust manifold, when you were puring the engine oil back in the motor...happened to me once when i was checking my oil level, I spilled some oil on my manifold and smoke started rising from the motor, it went away in about 20 minutes =]
Castro, I did not repaint the mani.
StreetEG, yes, I should have done a better job at the title. I was in a rush because it was late and I was pretty beat.
SOV, I believe i'm just burning stuff off. I'll go home today at lunch and let the car run a little.
Black, I did spill a little oil around the block, but it was very small. Again, I'll check today at lunch.

I went home for lunch today and brought my car into work. It smoked after I parked that car. No leaks have been spotted, so I'm going to assume that this is just oil burning off. I checked the oil level and everything was fine with that.
