Tranny tech: S4C guts vs YS1 guts
Okay -- I broke down both my main shafts today.
The main (input) shafts look identical. Parts Numbers say they are
different. But if they are, I cannot tell what. They look identical.
I counted the 1st/2nd gear teeth -- identical.
Also I am checking part numbers -- almost everything is identical part numbers.
2 washers/shims have diff PNs, but doesnt seem serious. Everything else
identical. The 5th gear however is different PN on both shafts. so i have
to inspect and see what the difference is.

Confirmed the information here.
YS1 5th gear Main has 1 less tooth.
YS1 1st gear Counter has 1 more tooth.
What does this mean?
the ys1 has a shorter 1st and 5th compare to S4C.
