k guys heres the deal. i have two crx's right now. a si and an HF. both of 89. i have had a b18a in my si and i swaped it to the hf today. the si ran fine with the b18 in it. fired right up. so i drop it in tonight everything goes good but when i go to start it no go...

it has brand new dist. i also checked by swapin on the HF dist. and there is NO spark at all on any cyl.

all connections are tight -- i used the harness from the si that i had on the motor and just plugged it into the hf

when i turn the key on the Ignition NO lights come on on the dash. BUT my tach goes to 1500 when its not started... and when its cranking it does the same. by no lights coming on i mean no CEL for the first 3 sec... no nothin. i have a pr4 i used in the SI but to check if it was the computer i put the HF comp in there and nothin changed.

-there is also a weird THUMP noise commin when it cranks.. sounds like its comming from the back under the starter???? very werid. ANY HELP U GUYS HAVE GIVE IT!! i need to get to class at 7 am!! thanks!!

 

check to see if all your grounds and connections are good.

 

forgot to mention that too-- all grounds are lidgit

 

if you're not getting a check engine light at all then the ecu is not powered or not grounded.

check related fuses/wires

 

yea but on the ECU the LED that gives out the CEL... that flashes once when you first turn the key... tellin me that it does have power and ground.... and the messed up thing is that i drove it in to the shop today this morning... so theres no reason it shuldnt start.... but somthins messed up...keep the ideas comin guys. thanks for the help so far..
