Default Ball joint camber kits?

When I was in at my local alignment shop getting it aligned, I briefly had a conversation wtih them about camber kits. They were talking about heating up and bending the knuckle which I wasn't for at all although it would work and they also said that ball joint camber kits worked very well but wore out sometimes as quickly as 3-6 months. Does anyone have any experience with these kits that can give me accurate info? I would assume that they would just wear out just as your standard ball joint. Any info/input is much appreciated. Thanks all.

*edit*

I know the underglow is on the ricey side just a bit, but that's why I don't use it often. Try to bear with me on that one. lol. I hate a ricey car just as much as the next guy (or girl for you lady tuners out there).

The upper ball-joint type camber kit is what you want. I have a sport drop with the concentic camber kits that move the factory a-arm out.....now every so often I can hear the a-arm rubbing on the inner fender. I just need to jack up the front and gring the tips of the a-arms down a bit. I have a 1.5" drop in the front, with almost all of the negative camber adjusted out.....This is what I have:

Those camber kits are pretty good, they don't wear like a ball joint because they are adjusting the pitch/angle of the upper control arm, I'd say they'll last a long time All the local parts stores around my area carry them. Don't let those monkeys torch the knuckle it will cause a weak spot.

I 've installed those on a few customers cars and havent had any of them come back. Seem to be pretty good. Especially for Accords.

Thanks for all the input guys, it's much appreciated. As to gianinline's comment about them heating the knuckle, I didn't like that idea as soon as it came out of their mouth. lol. I have that same kind of camber kit currently that pushes the upper control arm out and it works pretty well. I may go with maroonaccord2.2's idea of slightly grinding down the end of the control arm for more clearance. Both my upper ball joints are shot right now because I used a pickle fork to separate the joint from the knuckle, not such a good idea there. It basically tore the ball joint straight open. I have one new control arm now so I may as well just get the other side and replace them both.

If you guys have any more input on the grinding a bit off the tip off the control arm idea, let me know. If I only take a small amount off (1/4'' or so) it should be fine and help with the camber but if anyone thinks otherwise, throw your opinion out there. Thanks again for all the input, this is why I like Honda-Tech.

With all of my camber adjusted out (0 degrees) my a-arms barely touch....You may only need to remove 1/16" to an 1/8" or so.... That is, if you are using a sport drop.

I'm on adjustable coilovers with about a 2.5'' drop. About .5 degree upwards to 1 degree of negative camber wouldn't bother me since I want to take it a bit lower. I just don't want anything over 1 degree. Although people say that camber doesn't wear your tread unevenly, just toe does, I still believe that it has something to do with it. I'm riding on 17's with low profiles and I have about 2 and a half "fingers" of room above my front wheels and almost 3 above my rear wheels. I'll try to get a pic posted in here soon so you guys can see.
